The Hawai‘i P-3 Team

Kim H. Guieb-Kang
Kim H. Guieb-Kang, M.S. (Social Science, Tufts University) has been the P-3 Operations Specialist for Hawai‘i P-20, since January 2012.  She works closely with the project coordinators of the five demonstration sites by providing support and technical assistance related to site specific budgeting, reporting and program planning to promote community partnerships and engagement in implementing high quality P-3 programming for school success of young children.    

Her previous experiences include grant management, training and technical assistance in program policies and operational procedures, and generating reports in compliance with federal, state and private foundation requirements.

Kimberly Itagaki
KImberly A. Itagaki, B.A. (Early Education, University of Hawaii West Oahu) joined the Hawaii P-3 team in September 2013 as the P-3 Education Specialist, coordinating and implementing ongoing professional development sessions for early educators of P-3 system. She has worked in the field of early childhood education for more than 20 years as a classroom infant/toddler and preschool teacher, and a mentor coach. Kimberly is a reliable Pre-K Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) observer and trainer, and a certified trainer of the Teaching Strategies GOLD online formative assessment system.
