Family Partnership Guidelines Timeline

December 27, 2012 Preliminary meeting with “think tank” (aka “Family Partnership Hui”): Discussed plans for the development of Family Partnership Guidelines (FPG) for systems change. 
January 3, 2013 Identified overarching Guiding Principles: identified examples within each Guiding Principle to demonstrate concept (kept purposefully generic to be relevant across early childhood settings and inclusive of prenatal to 8 age range).
Janaury 11, 2013 Reviewed initial draft of documents: definition, underlying assumptions, overarching Guiding Principles, mapped out a work plan.
February 13, 2013 & March 5, 2013 Continued work on definition, underlying assumptions, and Guiding Principles with possible examples.
March 2013 Engaged in focus group planning (purpose of focus groups, venues, process, etc). Guiding Principles document ready for public comment.
April - May 2013

Conducted focus groups across the state to solicit feedback on:

  • FPG guiding principles and examples/indicators;
  • Ideas for what could be included in toolkits for programs applicable to 6
